Terms & Conditions
Terms for using the KMTA website
Last reviewed: September 2026
These terms govern your use of the Karavali Malenadu Tourism Association website. By accessing or using the website, you agree to use it in accordance with these terms and applicable law.
Purpose of this website
This website provides information about KMTA, its objectives, managing committee, regional coverage, membership, events, destination content and updates. It is an information and communication platform. Unless expressly stated otherwise, it does not itself provide travel bookings, accommodation, transport or other tourism services.
Accuracy and availability
KMTA aims to publish useful and accurate information, but website content may be updated, corrected, suspended or removed without notice. Images may be illustrative. Information about destinations, events, participation opportunities and planned activities may change. We do not guarantee that every page will always be complete, current, uninterrupted or free from errors.
Travel information and safety
Destination content is general information and is not a substitute for current guidance from public authorities, site managers, transport providers or qualified professionals. Weather, road access, opening arrangements, permits, fees, safety conditions, local rules and service availability can change. Visitors are responsible for confirming current conditions, assessing their own needs and following lawful safety instructions before and during travel.
Membership and expressions of interest
Submitting a membership form or expression of interest does not create membership, guarantee acceptance, confirm eligibility or promise a particular commercial result. Current eligibility, documentation, participation requirements, approved fees and membership decisions will be communicated through the applicable KMTA process. Benefits, programmes and opportunities may depend on availability and may change.
Events and programmes
Event and programme information remains provisional until KMTA publishes or communicates confirmed details. Dates, venues, speakers, capacity and participation conditions may change. Where an event or activity is delivered with another organiser or service provider, additional terms may apply. Registration does not guarantee admission unless confirmation is issued.
Third-party tourism services
References or links to hotels, homestays, tour operators, attractions, transport providers, restaurants, event providers or other businesses are for information and do not by themselves constitute endorsement or a guarantee. Any booking, purchase or service agreement is between the visitor and the relevant provider. Visitors should review the provider’s terms, cancellation rules, licences, safety information and privacy practices before proceeding.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, submit false or unlawful material, impersonate another person, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, scrape content in a manner that disrupts service, or use the website for an unlawful purpose. KMTA may restrict access or take other appropriate action in response to misuse.
Intellectual property and media
Unless otherwise indicated, KMTA-written content, original graphics, website design elements and the KMTA identity are owned by or licensed to KMTA. They may not be copied, adapted, distributed or used commercially without permission, except where applicable law permits.
Rights in third-party photographs, maps, marks and other material remain with their respective creators, owners or licensors. Credits and licence conditions shown on the website must be respected. Permission to view material on the website does not transfer ownership or grant a separate right to reuse it.
External links
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. KMTA does not control their content, availability, security or practices and is not responsible for loss or damage arising from use of an external website. A link does not imply endorsement unless the website expressly says so.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The website and its content are provided on an “as available” basis for general information. To the extent permitted by law, KMTA excludes implied warranties relating to accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose. KMTA is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising solely from reliance on website information, interruption of access, external services or circumstances beyond reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Privacy
Use of personal information submitted through the website is described in the Privacy Policy. Please review that policy before sending personal information.
Changes to these terms
KMTA may revise these terms when website features, programmes, organisational practices or legal requirements change. The revised terms will be posted on this page with an updated review date. Continued use after an update means the current terms apply to that use.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, disputes relating to the website will fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Mangaluru, Karnataka.
